Can anyone tell me about these number stamped on this gearbox?

There are two stamps on this gearbox. Im assuming the larger one came from the car it belonged to. What about the other no.? From the numbers can anyone tell me the year of this gearbox?

      Not an expert sorry

      what gearbox is it?

from my view there would appear to be two sets of stamps that are over the top of each other

the smaller stamps suggest 73 but who knows

From the info on the RB website (which mimics that printed in the James Taylor book), your gearbox would appear to be a “72 season US Federal Stag (manual) gearbox”

This photo comes from a UK Stag's gearbox. It has a similar second no. stamped on it as well. with a 73 on it. Hum. what is the second number I wonder.
