Stag wheel paint mask - availability

If only to save me the hassle of cutting a mask in tape myself, does anyone know where I can buy Stag alloy wheel paint masks? I can find them for other classic car wheels, but not the Stag ones.

I will be doing job soon in the past I masked off the tyre and rim but the intricate parts just painted over then wipe off immediately with a thinners rag. Unless of course you have a laquared wheel

Brush on lm grease or similar over the areas you don't want to paint and wash off later. Means you don't have to worry about time scale.

Thanks guys, both are very good advice, I would never have thought of using grease as a mask, cracking idea.

I'm not to sure about how good in practice grease would be. The wheels have many edges and a anti bond would need to painted very well it could take as long as masking any mistake would need cleaning again and could cause flaking and contamination is the worst whilst painting .
No offence but not for me but great if it works for you . .

Rather than grease I've used Vaseline in the past ( for the car I mean!) .I also used to coat my alloy wheels with it for winter driving. It's a bit easier to wash off and less messy.

Soap works as well and is easily washed off after the wheel is dry.

When I was so much younger and used to do Airfix kits, we'd use Liquid Latex which dries as a rubber film, then just peel it off afterwards. e.g. https://www.amazon.co.uk/Mumustar-Pa...s=liquid+latex

Also available in larger quantities of course.

Copydex is latex adhesive and works well as a paint mask. Easy to apply, easy to remove.
