We hope to have breakfast at the airfield cafe as per usual or maybe at another (as yet to be decided) venue if the airfield cafe is too busy.

If you fancy joining us, you are most welcome and the pickup/departure points are below:

Pick-up 1: Pit Lane, Hough, Cheshire CW2 5JQ. Departing from here c.9.15am. Park up half-way down the lane.

Pick-up 2) Car park opposite the Swan, Nantwich Rd, Woore, Crewe CW3 9SA. Depart from here c.9.30am.

Pick-up 3) Alderford Lake Car Park, Tilstock Rd, Whitchurch SY13 3JQ (this used to be called Dearnford Lake) c.10.00am Note: this pick-up point will only be used if we know that someone will actually need 'picking up'! Therefore, please post here to let us know that you will be at the lake.

Or.... just see you at Sleap!

We should get to Sleap around 10.30am.

    Cheers

Peter from Woore and a few of his fellow TVR gang are going to join us on Saturday.

We should now have around 10 cars on the run there.

Just a few photos of the breakfast meet this morning, thanks all for the invite. I did make it in the Stag, but it’s hidden behind the AA van if you can see it in one of the piccies. And NO I didn’t need the AA, a poor TVR Sagaris owner did! See my next post.....

Following on from the previous post, the poor TVR owner had tried to cross the grass in the wrong spot and got bogged down, despite the airfield staff trying several attempts with timbers, cardboard etc. it became so bogged down the underfloor was on the grass. No towing eye points at the rear and nowhere to attach a line. So they called the AA. Some time later with a strap and rope attached through the rear hatch to the roll hoops inside the car, they tried to pull it out manually and with a Land Rover - no joy!
Finally they used a mini tractor, lifting the tow rope slightly and eased it back about 3 feet and onto the timbers and then dragged it out. Glad it wasn’t mine, but they even offered the driver the use of a hose pipe to try and wash some of the mud off. Well done to all.

Yes thanks for the invite. The breakfast was Bostin! Even tho the cafe was a little cosy. Good to give the Stag a good run and blow the winter cobwebs away. I must go again and spend more time there to look around the little museum.

Great to see you and the boys yesterday, well done for waking your Stag up! The museum is well worth a look, lots of engines and parts from crashed aircraft. We are planning a few other breakfast runs, so will let you and Ian know when they are.............
