    Stag head puller

I was wondering if these have a high success rate.
If so, then wondering if it was possible to persuade the local area SOC club to buy one so that it can be shared for the good of all. Or is that sort of thing just not done?

I made my own to tackle the heads on my Stag back in Oct ‘14. Not much use if the studs have already sheared off flush with the head as the ‘pusher’ bolts will slide off the top of the stud. If the studs are intact, then using sleeves which locate the ‘pusher’ bolts onto the studs may well do the trick. Otherwise you’re better off with using angle iron with thick stud bar and nuts to jack one head off against the other.
My kit has been lent out several times and used successfully.

I should add that, once the LH head was off, a 20-tonne press was required to remove the remains of the studs from the head. It may work on a head with less stubborn studs.

I made the same set up as DJT ... took me 4 days to get the heads off mind ..and had to use a 1.5m extension pole on the end of my spanner to get enough pressure to turn the nuts ... my heads were well and truly stuck and I dont thing a regular head puller would have worked

I use one of a similar design and had 3 broken studs and it worked for me and others in the Norfolk tribe, I could not use it until I removed the centre head bolt. which took me 16 days
