Hi All
I have a MOD type propshaft which I purchased from a member of this Forum. As far as I am aware he experienced no difficulties with it on his car. It was removed as he was modifying to a different gearbox and diff etc.
There appears to be no significant wear in the U/J's but they are of the non greasable variety. Now, before I fit the prop to the car should I take the opportunity to replace the U/J's with greasable ones? I have purchased the U/J's but having searched through the Forum archives I must admit to getting cold feet:shock: about out of balance and rumbling props after people have tinkered with them:?.
From where I am sitting I appear to have three options:-
option a) fit tocar as is?
option b) replace the U/J's but not balance
option c) replace the U/J's and pay someone to balance it.
I have ignored the idea of fitting a new prop as it is too expensive.
Which do you advise?
Cheers
Bruce
