Back in Tenerife after 18 days in U.K.

Just got back home after 2 weeks in Chorley & 4 days in Chester and it was cold.
Never saw one Stag whilst in the U.K., come to think of it no "Classics" of any description. Whilst I was away there has been a pretty bad storm in Tenerife with roads & cars washed away, but Los Cristianos seems to have escaped any real damage. Glad I left my hard top on whilst away (my car is parked in the open), and that I had just made a few modifications to the seals around the doors & windows to make them more weather proof. When I checked the car this morning it started 1st time, and no signs of any water having got in anywhere. My wife said it was a real tropical rainstorm, and we havent had anything like it for years according to the papers. Back to sunshine again now though and spent the morning sunbathing & swimming in our pool. Missed the Forum whilst I was away, did not take my laptop so had to make do with an occassional trip to the Library to access the Internet.

    Regards to all

We go every year to Costa adeje with the neighbours and stay in the Adeje Grande. Very nice area and brilliant hotel.

Our area coordinator has an apartment in Los Cristianos, and we have stayed there also.

            Nice part of the world

You are talking about Ian Charleworth (and his wife Carole) who I have met on several occassions out here. He has a very nice Apartment just round the corner from where I live. I think "Chopperman" is the next Stag owner to visit Los Cristianos.

That's right Terry, we arrive next Tuesday night 16th. Meet up for a beer (or two)?

I think I could force myself out for a medicinal drink or two! Just need to get rid of this cold I picked up when in the U.K.

The previous owner of my car had left me a spare hardtop window seal.
I pulled the black rubber frame grip off it & cut it up into pieces (slightly oversize) to fit the gaps in the seals around my door frames. added a bit of glue & used them to fill the gaps. See attached drawing for further details.

Thanks Terry - I think I'll give that a try as I, also, have a spare seal !

                        Cheers
