The seat panel is a big panel to get made,i have suggested getting repair sections made, usually its only the side areas that go,but noughting so far,where are you based,i have a new seat panel but its not for sale,but i could use it to make repair section for you,can you post a picture of how bad yours is,or you could try The TIM or Tony White they brake stags and maybe could cut a panel out of a car for you

Hi Dave,

Many thanks for your quick reply. I will try to attach a photo as suggested. It is the seat base that the foam attaches to and which has a few springs attached. It’s fairly rotten and rusted all over, but, as you mentioned, the sides are worse and the metal has almost become detached. It was a a result of a leaking hood prior to my buying the car.

Your photos didn't come out,if you were on the apprentice is be saying your tired going by your last post I think I know now what your on about, I originally thought you meant the seat base panel,
Unless your seats are made in leather,id replace the seat,you can repair it but the vinyl is glued to the foam,and you would end up ripping the foam trying to get the cover off try
the Tim 07709 980192 or Tony white 07830 226461 they both brake stag ,don't know what colour interior you have,but you should be alright getting just the base,the only colour to watch out for is beige,if you do have a beige seats but both the back and base,because beige does face
