Just been going through some paperwork and realised that today I have had my stag for 10 years. Its the longest I have ever owned a car which I guess is testament to how good the car is and how much pleasure it brings. During this time it has been 100% reliable apart from one small episode of a sticking needle valve. Celebrated with a 60 mile run around country lanes, love it! Here's to another 10 years legislation permitting.

Next July I will have had mine 25 years, the next longest time I have had a car is 17 years - a W123 Mercedes 230E, which itself was 5 years old when I first bought it, and I only sold that because I was emigrating and could only drive one car to Tenerife at the time, and it was a time I owned both the Mercedes and the Stag, and it wasn't difficult to decide which one I was keeping. . -

Just gone past 34 years. In that time only one breakdown (new part failure) when it didn't get home under it's own steam.

Looks like I am still a relative newbie then. Off to the Brecon Beacons on Sunday for a few days with the Essex TR's, fingers crossed the weather stays good.
