    Burning oil

Oh dear, more engine issues. Leaking core plug (see separate thread), now oil burning problems. Previously - knackered fuel pump. It’s really ****ing me off ATM,

May be that its not been driven of late, but it burns noticeable oil on revving up, and afterwards on tickover, it
looks a it like a car on a cold morning...

also, I have very low oil pressure (been reading the recent thread on this too - when it’s hot, tick over pressure is only marginally off the bottom of the gauge). Problems related perhaps?

thx for any help. Steve S

Might be stuck piston rings if it hasn't been driven for a while, but with leaking core plugs and low oil pressure it sounds like the engine needs to come out for a complete rebuild.

Good idea Richard, thank you. I’m a bit of a novice at this - as you can probably tell! I will sort & revert... And I fear both you & Neil are right... just as the weather starts being being better too! Thx for advice both.
