Front wheel bearings

Hi All,

I am trying to change the front wheel bearings. I have got the first hub off but cannot shift the rear seal which appears to have been hydraulically pressed in place. The replacement with the bearing kit is a rubber seal but the existing one is rubber inside a steel cup. Is there a technique for getting this out or do I need to get a bearing puller? I don't want to start prizing and levering just in case I cause any damage where the new seal will fit.

Any suggestions would be appreciated.

When you knock the outer bearing race from the hub it will push the seal with it, no need to lever it out

Great, all repacked and ready to refit hub Thanks flying farmer. Wine o'clock now though so will refit hub tomorrow.
