    Viscous coupling.

    Hi
Looks like i could do with a new viscous coupling, spins a full turn with a flick of the hand plus has side play. Remarkably don't have any overhearing issues, this being a 72 car how can i tell if its a mark one viscous or mark two. Looking at various suppliers there seems to be two types?. Thanks Chris

On one the attaches to the VC with bolts (Mk2), the other the fan is mounted on studs.

Thank's Dave very much appreciate the info, looks like i have a mk2 fan and coupling teamed up with a mk 1 cooling system. nothing like a good old hybrid to keep you guessing. Chris.

That’s just as well. New Mk1 couplings have been unobtainable for several years.
