    Electric Water Pump Controller Setpoint

For those with the Davies Craig water pump digital controller.....what temperature set-point do you use, just got my car back from Ward's at the weekend? I think it is set at 85oC, above this temperature the fan kicks in see attached for the pump control diagram. I find that the controller is asking the fan to come on quite regularly and not just when sat in traffic etc. I previously had an 88oC thermostat and the fan cut in set an just above 90. That seemed to work quite well with the fan old cutting in when stationary. I'll ask Mick Ward when I take it back for it's 500 mile check over. The radiator has been flushed and I think it is OK but I suspect it is a 4 core with rather restrictive airflow.

I'd be interested to hear your thoughts.

    Thanks

    Matt

Matt the default set point is 85 degrees. When set to that mine takes forever to warm up. I have now set mine to 90 degrees and it does warm up marginally quicker. At 90 the fan should not kick in until 95 degrees.
