Lumenition: where is a good terminal for red 12 V feed?

    Hi all,
I tried the search function but the recommended switched white 12 V wire from the ignition switch is not really accessible.
What about the fuse 19--20 connection on terminal 19 (see picture)?
Do you have any other/better recommendation?
    Many thanks for any help.
    Klaus

I used the fuel cut-off switch by the wiper motor (rhd Stag, of course), as people here have recommended. That way, the ignition is cut off in an accident as well as the fuel. The power is ignition switch controlled as a bonus.

That sounds good and it is easier to fit the red wire there than on the fuse terminal 19. Many thanks.

Klaus, fuel cut off supply is good, are you using the type of ignition with an external module? When I fitted mine years ago I fitted it inside near the fuse box away from engine bay heat.

fuse 19 is fed by the relay on the panel iirc. when the relay fails because the tinsey earth wire fall off then supply to the ignition module will fail also.

ask me how I know, Le Mans 2009, even the CRS couldnt cope with my brother pictured here

go for back of fuse #1 or 12v feed to fuel cut off

I’ve been using the fuel cut-off switch to supply the Lumenition for 2 Stags over 25 years without problem. Just make sure the cut-off switch internals are clean. Easy enough to open it up and service.

Many thanks for all your replies. That's very helpful.
I decided to use the proposed connection of the fuel cut off switch. I have installed the Lumenition modul on the fire wall in the far left corner since more than 20 years w/o a problem. From there to the fuel cut off switch it's easy for a new 12 V wire.
So what was wrong with my current Lumenition installation? We have just spent 2 weeks in the alps (South Tirol) for hiking and on our way down to Italy we drove up to 2000 m altitude to visit one of Reinhold Messners Mountain Museums. On our way up a heavy rain shower started and when it stopped I couldn't stop the wipers. Playing at the wiper stalk I heard something break inside with the positive effect that the wipers stopped and luckily we had no more rain during the 2 weeks.
At home I found 3 broken parts inside the the wiper switch. And I found that I had connected the Lumenition to the green 12 V feed for the wipers close to the multi plug. Very uncomfortible and it will now be improved. That's the reason why I asked.

As we have our anual Frankonia Stag meeting next weekend I needed a new wiper switch urgently and I ordered yesterday from Rimmers with express delivery (not cheap). The parcel arrive within 23 hours today in Munich!!! Perfect service.

              Cheers Klaus

                Hi Klaus,
I Respect the advice here, not least from DJT. (2x25years!)
However, my stag did end up with intermittent fuel pump +ve feed interruption when the electronic ignition was powered from the inertia switch.
It was very tricky to find as it had been wired this way for many years, seemingly without an issue.
It was only noticed when checking the pump 12v supply using an analogue meter the needle flickered.
When the electronic ignition feed was removed from the inertia switch, the 12v supply to the pump became stable.
I fitted a new cable to the loom, joined at the main 12v (switched) junction. (This is located in a large soldered crimp, in the loom, behind the speedo ~ on a R.H.D. car) Thats what powers the electronic ignition on my car (occasionally, in-between rebuilds!)

P.S. please post some pictures of the Frankonia meeting.
