Just fitting a new petrol pump (su) and before I wield the spanners just wondered if it's as easy as it looks..is there anything I ought to know before I start?

Simple really. U may want to look at the health of those three rubber mounts between the brackets at the same time. If you dont have one, consider adding a fuel filter between it and the tank.

Put a cover over the tank, or have some spare fibre washers for the banjo connections, as I've dropped them down the side of the petrol tank before, and a full tank is heavy to lift out of the boot to retrieve them (& magnets don't pick the washers up!).

A lot of work lifting a tank to save a few penny fiber washers. So yes keep a few spare.Comment
