Switched connection under bonnet for Electric fan?

Just fitted a revotec fan today and it was suggested that I connect directly to the battery but surely it will run until the thermostat tells it to stop..that could be quite a while these days..it there an easily accessible
switched connection that I can piggy back onto under the bonnet?
    Many thanks

Revotec do an auxiliary switch that allows you to leave the fan on auto or override it manually to run or be fully off if you can't find something else under the bonnet that suits.

Brian, some models had provision for front fogs, red/yellow wire from the light switch to the grill area, you may be able to make use of this as although the option may not apply to your car I think the loom still contains these wires.
Some people have used the HRW switch and warning light for auxiliary items.

The point is it should run until the set temp is met. It is a thermo siphon system, water can move without the engine on - I’ve been told.
My Revotec wouldn’t have run for longer than a minute. And given the draw taking power direct from the battery is a good idea.

I've just done this. I connected to a spare connector in the fuse box. Fuse number 2 has a spare connector at the top inside the car, but I had to extend the red wire that was supplied with the kit. It does mean that the fan switches off when you turn the ignition off which some people don't think is ideal.

            Hi
I would suggest that if taking a connection from fuse box and not from battery that you use a relay to power your fan direct from battery. When I first got my stag the fuel pump would cut out every so offen, it turned out that the fan was connected direct to fuse box on same terminal as the fuel pump. when the fan switched on which was not very offen the power would sometimes blow the fuse.
