    Night dimming relay

I've found this connector in the left rear wing where you would expect the night dimming relay to be. It hasn't got a live red connection or black earth but there are plenty of options nearby. Does anyone recognise it as an alternative or is it possibly just a good quality way to bypass the original relay? The car is early MK2 so should have had the relay?
Not pulled it apart to look further as i'm off to the National tomorrow and don't want to shoot myself in the foot with a new problem.

I removed mine as I did not want dimmer rear lights. I also changed out the bulb holders to ones that had a earth tag. So each of my bulbs has it's own earth.

Tundra, your photo looks like someone has bridged the 2 connectors that plug into the night dimmer relay. I only recently removed mine, as fellow members had complained about my poor brake lights! I cut off the 2 connectors and Re-joined the wires, brake lights are now much better. Looks like someone has already done yours!
