I have a spare dash unit but its lost some of the vinyl and padding, I can find the 'covers', but they need the foam underneath to be intact. If I strip the dash down to metal all over do any Stag Firms recover/re pad these - only want OE vinyl?
I'm thinking of having this done, whilst using the car with existing dash then, swapping over with new wood. Wood I have sorted, this bit proving more difficult.

hi Ian the guy who re trimmed my dash does this he is in Norfolk ( moores trimmers )and top notch easy to post . if you do strip you could be sure to clean any rust and apply a good etch primer and some good quality paint

try Aldridge,but check with who ever is going to cover your dash,before you rip the vinyl and foam off,as the foam is moulded

I don't think Aldridge recover the dash anymore, Dave

wheeler dealers did a dash repair but this only was a patch up. don't rip the d off till you find a repair shop as they may need the foam in place.

The original vinyl cover was heat wrapped,if Aldridge don't do it you may struggle to find some one to do it as originally done,it's easy to get a cover on it but there will be sticking seen

Also the wood will not fit as it make the das h a bit thicker. You will need sand it down to fit.
