LED door light bulb

I noticed last night that the driver door LED puddle light still glows after parking the car. I guess its getting some power from somewhere. Mk 2 with Neg. switching. Any ideas ??

Do you mean with door open or closed?

If you switch on the interior lights does it go off?

Thanks guys.....It glows when the door is shut and the lights are off.

I would suspect the wire has come off the door switch and is resting on the body thus causing the circuit to be complete and the light to be on all the time.

I would suspect there is a high resistance route to earth through another component in the circuit. I had a similar issue trying to install a lights on buzzer via the drivers door switch. The buzzer still sounded (though only slightly) with the door shut. I have not done anything further yet but suspect I will need to fit a diode in circuit to prevent the feed back. LEDs need very little current to activate hence it is happening but not seen with a standard lamp. Dave.

Thanks Dave. I was thinking the same thing. Its just a small amount of elec. that's getting to the bulb. Its not on while the parking lights are on. The door switch works a it should Jon as its only the puddle bulb that glows. Thinking about it.... I did fit a headlight on warning buzzer on the door switch so long ago that I've just remembered it. (It doesn't work...) so maybe its still connected.
