'What is this car and who designed it?' I think you could catch most car geeks out with this one, but let me know if you honestly would have known the answer. I think the rear end design is a clue to the designer.

Paul, never, ever seen or heard of this before. From the look of it, I would have guessed Vauxhall, it looks like a Viva HA from the front, or DAF, it looks like a DAF 33 or 44 on the rear quarter/c post panel. However the speedo gives it away; pure Anglia.
Interesting one - sorry, but the way the wipers are parked does it for me ... but it would have taken me ages to place them. Makes me think of early 911 and Saab ?99
