Drag strut mod's

Hi guys, what thickness of plate do you use to strengthen the lug's on the drag strut that bolt to the track control arm, so you can still get the bolt's in?

I saw one repaired. which snapped. It was less than 3/16" plate

the thickness of the original arm was only a couple of mm the plates i used were the same thickness ,which effectively doubles the strength

I've been doing mine getting bits ready before I get them powder coated, but didn't take as photo's,think I used 3mm

Thats basically how i did mine,i just spread the plates over a longer area
