I was there in 73 as a very new Pirelli rep. Tyre "alley" was upstairs as I remember. I think the Lambo Countach came a bit later. I remember it was the first with ultra low profile tyres. Some wag removed the valves but because the tyres were so low and on thick carpets, no-one noticed until our technical bods made their routine checks on all the show cars fitted with our tyres. Great memories. John
Was it really as late as 1973 that the P6 got an extra 200cc?
I was never a fan of the Rover as it always looked a bit bloaty somehow. I had a couple of big Triumphs (a 2.5 PI and a 2500S). They seemed much more streamlined and stylish and started my aspirations to one day own a Stag
