    Fireing order

    I am positive this wrong. Went by it and gt timing wrong, was posted on forum sometime back.

      I went by this and it is correct engine working sweet as a nut now. Bought a strobe light and timed it. Have electronic igntion. Is 14 btdc correct for it?

        By the book,14 deg BTDC is correct for mark 1 where as I believe its 12 deg BTDC for a Mark2

          That picture is just a picture to show the part numbers for the various ignition leads etc. It is not a diagram of the correct firing order.

            On my 77 mk2 the firing order is stamped on the engine itself.

              It is cast into the top of the inlet manifold.
