will some distributors fit a Stag

Someone on a US forum says a distributor from a RV8 will fit a Stag. Are the bodies interchangeable? I recall that the RV8 distributor rotates in the opposite direction so the guts will be no good.

For the price if the electronic ignitor works and the vacuum advanced unit is the same, this isn't a bad price.

I think I once looked at this, and from what I recall the Rover is too big a diameter to fit the Stag block as well as everything else being wrong

It's a relatively common swap down under to fit a Ford V8 distributor with Bosch electronic ignition.
