I've had one on the Midget since I restored it 20 years ago and when I'm out and about in it the hood is rarely up, and if I leave the car anywhere the cover takes about 15 seconds to close, far more acceptable than putting the hood up or leaving it open and exposed. Also keeps the car cosier to drive with the hood down in the winter
I bought one a few years ago for the Stag, type as per the Ebay advert, and the only reason I haven't fitted it is the number of popers, but I'm going get round to using it as a template to make one that fits over the Tonneau cover like an envelope at the rear and will have retaining lugs which will fit down the screen demist vents at the front and between the door window and skin at the sides.Your wife is right, size matters. 3.9RV8

I've had a couple of Midgets,as well as an MGB and with the first one I had both a 1/4 Tonneau and a full Tonneau cover. I did use the 1/4 one quite a bit but only used the full one once. The thing was of course that the MG's had studs on the dash top and also along the rear section whereas the stag doesn't so how would you affix it? Not sure I'd want a load of studs on top of my dash and jakesmigs idea seems a lot of work.

Below is a picture of the one I use occasionally on my car, as the softop itself is torn, and it doesn't take long to put on.
You can unzip just the drivers seat part if you are out driving alone and don't wish to remove all of it.

Tell me how your cover is attatched, as I cannot see any studs in you pictures.

Will post a picture of how it fits, but at the moment "Photobucket" which contains the said picture(s) is down for some reason, so will try and post the pics from a different source but the pic orientation might not be right. The tonneau has an underside "lip" which is where the studs go through, not the top part, and are "snap" connectors.
Although the tonneau was supplied by Tony Hart, it is actually made by Aldridge Trimming in various colours.
