Pop quizz .......found this on the stag today ....

while working (upside down i might add) on the heater valve i noticed this switch under the dash and thought i would trace it back to where ever it went and see what it does ....

If you turn it clockwise it should reset the trip counter on the speedo.

Mine also has a push button arrangement on the speedo to reset the trip as it is a very late Mk2. I didn't realise any were different! The Triumph 2000 range have the same twiddly thing under the dash.

as does everything else they made from herald to dolomite......presumably along with everyone else who used Smiths instruments

Mine makes the wheels fold under (back to the future style). Pretty advanced for the 70's.
