Just about to put her away for the winter and connect up a trickle charger. Do I need to disconnect the battery or can it be left in circuit to save having to re-programme the radio and alter the clock?
Thanks in anticipation
Maurice
Maurice, I have a C-Tek trickle charger that is wired in to the battery and is left on all the time that the car is in the garage, so the simple answer is yes - connect without disconnecting the battery providing the trickle charger is modern enough to have the "off when fully charged and back on as voltage drops" feature. Regards, John.

+3 for the C -Tek which I've had 5 years AAAAAA nnnnnnnn ddddddd for the Medion ALDI trickle charger which is on offer from them ( and Lidl , not sure if same model) for £13 ...yes £13 I 've 3 of them and can't stop buying , they are such GOOD value ! And £70 cheaper ( although admittedly with less optional charge cycles ( which you rarely use)...Just buy them when you see them...3 years warranty ! How can you go wrong ?
The charger won't care if the battery is left in circuit or not, but for safety's sake, you ought to disconnect it - many classic car fires originate in a faulty alternator, and they are directly connected to the battery. Us a "Discarnect" or similar for ease.
Stags and their electrics are not getting any younger.

Wow, that's cheap. Would you know if they're suitable for motorbike batteries? I know my c tek has a bike setting although I've never tried it!
