    seat diaphragms

The foam on the bases on my front seats are sort of OK. Will changing the front seat diaphragms alone help with firming up the front seats?
I used rubber seat diaphragms from Rimmers on another set of Stag seats and they didn’t.
I need to work on a second set of Stag seats. I spoke to Jim and South East Trimming and he says his diaphragms are better than the ones Rimmers sells and need to be stretched more. Also, he mentioned the holes around where the clips go are stronger and thicker. Can anyone confirm this?

I know the seats are handed, but I don’t recall seeing that the foam is handed and I assuming the foam for both seats are the same. Is this correct? I may consider swapping the foam.

The seat base foams are handed, and the seat diaphragm South East Trimmings sells are much better than any one else sells there thicker, you have to stretch them to fit

But the hooks are in the wrong orientation (at least mine were) but nothing a couple of holes in the frame didn’t sort. Seats better for it even though it was a faff
Paul - 3 projects, 1 breaker - garage built and housing 2 white Stags. One runs, one doesn't

            Hello,
I found the rubber diaphragms too soft and welded in some steel sheets. Much better! Dieter.

I remember seeing your idea about the metal sheet to replace the diaphargms, thought it was a good idea, when i did mine i went belt and braces,i used pirlli webbing accross the seat base and then to make it look original, the seat diaphargm from S E Trimming,

That’s because everyone can see what the underside of the seats look like.............

                    what he ^^ said.

the hooks over the rear rail of the seat are not in the same orientation as original.

Lifted the foam, drilled new holes from above the rail and it fitted easily. seats comfy and happy with them. SE Trimming headrest and seat back foams also fitted. nice stuff

when you say the hooks are not in the same orientation, I think he uses seat diaphragm from a land rover

Whatever it is Dave it is wrong. All of the Stag hooks are in the same orientation, on this replacement the froont and sides are correct but the rear are 180 out. It's not a major issue but a bit of a büggerance (adds 15 mins) when fitting them. Would be good if it was mentioned as part of the description/fitting instructions. My bad as I didn't feed back to Jim

Do you know what land rover? Might be more cost effective, with postage, to source them State side.

I know it's a bit of messing about, but if you look at the other diaphragm on the market, there's know comparison, S E Trimmers are a better bet
