Ebay good or bad?

Are perfectly good stags (or ones that could have been saved) being stripped for bits to be sold on ebay for people to make bigger profits from them.

Or is it keeping more alive with a good supply of parts?:?

Whilst there are some good sellers and bits for sale on ebay, these days the value of a car such as the stagcan bein spares, so let's put 2 + 2 together, and popular opinion is yes to your first point. As to a good supply of parts, we've seen some right tat for sale on there and I for one would not buy a safety critical part off ebay. In my early days of stag ownership I bought a bit thinking it was a good source but I soon found the opposite.

I'm also sure you wouldn't nick a stag to sell it on, so spares is theanswer to that one.

You proberbly find that it goes in a circle.

Car gets striped for parts ,if the shell is reasonable it gets sold,new owner of shell buys all the bits of ebay to put it back together again.

As a source of parts eBay's hard to beat. It's now my first point for searching for bits [1]

I've boughtnew boxed parts at a fraction of the price of new pattern c*&p. I would also buy second hand ahead of pattern parts if appropriate. My belief is I'd rather fit a good genuine second hand part than a made to budget new item.

If a Stag is parted for spares these parts are going to owners who want to maintain or improve their Stags with genuine parts, so I don't see it as a problem. Looking at the price of second hand parts I think you'dstruggle to buy a Stag, break it for spares and make a big profit. I suspect it’s the Stag’s that are too far gone and hence uneconomic to restore that find their way onto eBay.
