    previous owner details on this forum

    Is there a way of getting the user name of the previous owner of my stag so I can view his posts?
    I have changed my phone since buying it in 2017 and lost his contact details
    I would be nice to see if he was active on the forum and to see what he had done to the car in his ownership

      That is linking car reg number possibly with member number, to forum user name.
      Data protection would say no i'm sure!

        Just out of interest, aren't previous owners on the vehicle registration document in UK? Or maybe even on the bill of sale?

          Not anymore! It changed this year due to the GDPR regulations. This was around the same time that the DVLA stopped accepting requests for information on the previous owners of the car. On newly issued V5C's in the box where the previous owners details were is a GDPR statement.

            sounds like a beanfeast for ringers, car thieves, and dubious 'dealers' (selling their mate's car for them!) but maybe I haven't twigged it!

              I know his name
              I know his address
              I did have his phone number but I have since moved from iPhone to a Samsung(best move ever) and no longer have it
              All I wanted was a stag forum profile name
              there is a possibility that he wasn't on here as he only had the car for a year,though he did have the gearbox and overdrive rebuilt as I have receipts for this
              I have the forum name of the guy who owned it before him but sadly he past away,Shyster (I wasn't being rude btw Shyster was Shy Patel's forum name lol)

              anyway I have just found the email of my cars PO brother in law so I have sent him a email to ask PO

              Its the Mrs stables Christmas do tonight so I will be pi$$ed as a fart later,so I apologise now for any offence caused by drunken forum posts around about 12 oclock
