12v extra supply from battery

I had to replace the battery on Friday, thought I'd make the most of the dry weather and a day off from work......didn't go exactly as planned. Battery flat....didn't know how old it was and as the car has not done many miles since it was recommissioned in 2012 so I decide to treat her to a new battery. Halfords HCB072.

Anyway, I have a supply on a eyelet connector off the battery post, I'm trying to neaten things up a bit and would rather not have extra cables coming off the battery. I was looking to see if there were any spare connections where I could take a feed from. The connector for the alternator harness looked interesting but there are no spare connections there so that got me wondering could I fit another one of those connectors to the battery lead? I've tried googling without much luck. Does anyone know what they are called or if you can get then on their own?

Within the block connector shown in the diagram, on mine, there was a double large Lucar spade terminal which I used to supply a additional fuse box mounted on the inner wing

Thanks Nigel, just been out to check again, all the spade connectors on the widget are in use on mine.

Possibly some useful bits here - https://www.autosparks.co.uk/electri...cessories.html . Strogly recommend using a ratchet crimp tool to make off decent connections, especially in high power circuits (poor connections -> resistance -> heat -> fire. As Nigel suggests, fit a fuse box for new circuits.

If you want to keep the battery tidy, just pick the power up at the starter motor terminal...simples
