How do you read the markings on the top of a dome top piston, on mine it said +20 ,but when looking some old one's and over the weekend they had a letter F or G j173
The original pistons were sized F and G, one being half a thou bigger than the other, they selected the correct one for the finished bore size at the factory.
Oversize pistons generally only come in +20 or +40 thou with no grading

JP pistons do make a MK2 domed piston but they are very heavy and use thicker piston rings. I have a set in my P reg Stag, I found they were fitted when I had to rebuild the engine following jackshaft seizure a few years back.
They tend to be heavier on the oil consumption due to the thicker rings, and are rather prone to seizing, I had scuff marks on the skirts of some of mine, and Tractor James wrecked his after several partial seizures so I wouldn't use those.
