    Draughty hardtop

Ive recently bought a fairly good hardtop for my stag for the winter,it was a bit of a trial getting it fitted but its on and looking good however I have a 2cm gap between the top of the door pillars and the bottom of hardtop head lining this is where the rear screen heater connections sit .
This allow alot of cold air in at speed and creates alot of wind noise

Ive looked at the spares listings and I cant see any rubber parts that should fit into this gap
Am I missing something or is this just a bad fitted hard top ?
    Regards
    Paul

By the locating pin for the heated rear window there should be a square peace of rubber/foam have you got this in place

I agree with Dave. I am waiting for some muscle to come around to help me lift my Hardtop on and will have to fit the bits Dave mentions. they are about 12mm thick medium density foam. as you can see mine are a little worse for wear! - Alan

Ok while I have them in my hand the measurements are:-

block is 83mm long, 30mm wide and 13mm thick.
There is a 20mm dia hole centred across the width but offset on the long axis (centre of hole is 35mm from one end)
It is a very firm neoprene foam, you have to push quite hard with your finger to indent it 5mm.

Having never fitted my hard top since owning the car, I would never had known this. Are these parts available to buy? Thanks for the insight. Mark

Mine has had gaps at the top of the pillars ever since I got it. I will try the foam part and see if that makes it quieter. The heater takes care of the draught!,

Part number 622643 is the bit you need - described as "Seal, Rubber". None of the usual suspects have it listed or in stock :-(

After looking at my squashed specimens I thought I would buy a bit but I think you probably bought 100mm not 1 metre and you just bought the last bit at that size. - Alan
