Mk2 back of fuse box wiring diagram

I am trying to figure out which wire connects to which connector in the foot well for the back of the fuse box. I have a strange situation where my Temp Gauge and Fuel Gauge are constantly live even though the ignition is switched off. I have traced the green wire which supplies the voltage stabilizer to the fuse box. I am fairly sure these have been connected to the wrong connectors but its not clear in the manual what goes where ?

According to my circuit diagram it goes to terminal 4 which should have a white wire on the other end of the fuse which also feeds stop lights, Reversing lights and seat belt indicators.


That should be second fuse along and the ROM says its "ignition control" -- go figure!

thanks for the info. I have 2 white wires seperate each with its own connecter. Are they both on the same ignition ?

I don't have a fuse box handy so can't answer that, but white wires are switched ignition lines so could feed a few fuses

Thanks Drew and everyone else for their help. The first image is especially useful as I can how everything should be laid out e.g relays.

Im busy restoring the car and its had plenty of bodges to get round wiring issues.
