window regulator pivot pin

I am replacing the worn out plastic electric window regulator pivot bushes and pins that secure them. Has anyone done this? The new pivot pins are solid and I am not quite certain how to secure them to the regulator arm.
The old pins appear to be pressed in and the ends are splayed over perhaps hammered flat....The new pins I purchased have solid ends however and I cannot see how they will be secured.

It is difficult to do because you must support the head of the pin while forming the rivet head. On my first attempt, I split the new plastic roller by letting the support slip out of position. Also, hammering on the end tends to swell the main part as well as the rivet end, so seizing the roller. I tried using an old bolt held in a vice and with a socket placed over it to maintain the roller centrally, but it didn't look like it was going to be a great success. Eventually I took mine to a workshop to have the ends pressed over. They used a pointed tool first to open the rivet end across the back of the arm, and then a flat tool to press it flat. I have had discussions with LD Parts about making a pin with a threaded end for a thin nyloc nut, and a slotted head, so they could be changed without removing the motor/arm assembly from the door. Peter did ask for my drawing, but I don't know if he has had any made.
