What battery?

Looks like battery not holding charge, when running amp meter shows just over 13 amps....

looking at Haynes it states 56 amp hour , currently on car Varta blue 70 amp hour

suppose should replace with what’s there... or?..

I have replaced mine with an optima red top, it gives 390 cca so will be ok when relocated to the boot or below the soft top. you pay your money and take your choise, just go for one with 3 or more years warrenty.

Varta are a top brand, I would go with same again!

I just bought and fitted a Halfords HB072 today. Perfect fit for size. I read somewhere (on here, I think) that the 072 is the correct replacement for the 071 which was original, but some years ago, they tended to be a few mm too long. 550 CCA, 68 Ah, so I reckon it is well up to the job. I don't think my engine has ever spun over so fast on the starter.

When I changed my battery this is how I fitted my new one. I was a bit concerned about how close the +ve terminal is to the clamp so I bought a battery with the terminals away from the clamp. The battery is from Costco - BOSCH S5 005
