There's a load on eBay still for sale after a considerable time (excluding the usual 5/6 fraudulent ones) none of which seem to have had a bite and some look quite horrendous like the one you have here for what is being asked.
I think the fact the supercharged Stag is still there after on/off 9 months or so is quite an indicator, albeit that is a very specialised car which only one specialist (Enginuity) would know how to keep running.
Car and Classic has a stack on there too and few have moved in almost a year.
So simple answer is sadly - I think not

Cars still for sale after a year at prices the owners think they will sell at...it's not hard to work out is it ? A well known car and owner (forum member on the Triumph Experience) and at the pricing it's running at and a plus £2k shipping charge into the UK a very well priced car and marque which has a consistent pricing stance. There are lots of VERY good cars you can get out there for reasonable money, why would my and anybody else's Stag be able to buck the trend ?

Same as with house sales, antiques, you name it......asking price one thing, selling price only one that matters. Lots of good Stags out there I am sure, and equally lots of rubbish. Classic prices generally seem quite buoyant so I suspect Stag prices are up with the general tide but probably no more than that. Supply is good, demand is reasonable as Stags are popular, and it's probably not too far off being evenly matched. Only ever matters anyway if you're buying or selling

Have just been browsing through March 2019 Classic Car magazine. At the back is a price guide for most makes of cars considered classics. It covers concours/Dealer, Mint, Good, and Rough standards. The prices for a Stag in same order are; £18,000; £13,000; 5,500 & 2,000.
Interesting to see the suggestion that the dealer price as for a concours car.
Having spent a small fortune for my car on bodywork, upholstery, suspension, engine and gearbox rebuilds, I have insured the car for £19,000. It looks great but the bright work needs re chroming, the wheels need refurbishing. It’s certainly in good condition and but not mint. And I would certainly not part with it for less than £19k. Hopefully though that’s a few years yet.Comment
