    Fuel pump stopped working

    IMG_6876.JPG
Hi all, fuel pump has decided to stop working. Is there anything I can do? Can it be repaired or is it a new pump? if a new pump, any recommendations for supply please, I know that it is often mentioned about the fuel pressure being to high. Thanks. mark

Mark. I don't recognise that one, as it isn't the usual SU type. It appears to be an electronic one, so may not be straightforward to repair. Have you checked the inertia switch next to the fuse box? The fault may lie there, before you buy a new pump.
    Mike.

Hi Mike, thanks for the quick reply. I have 12 volts at the pump end and I also put it across the battery and it still didn't 'burst into life' Would an SU pump be a better choice or try and go for the same? Cheers Mark

This is a popular option; I’ve been using one for 10 years without problem: http://www.ldparts.co.uk/shop/shop.p...6860d6260ea912

        Otherwise, try here: http://sucarb.co.uk/su-fuel-pumps-spares.html

Another vote for the LD pump. Mine has been trouble free. I hope it doesn't stop now!

Online only as far as I'm aware, but they are usually very quick in responding to the online contact form.
