What are the best mods you have made to your Stag, not necessarily performance related, although to be included,{]missing Gareths posts and eagerly awaiting Neils update]

Having just fitted a TR6 Spoiler wished id done it earlier.

Some of the favourite mods of others I remember were things like swapping sides of the choke nearer to driver, adding a parcel shelf to drivers side, and fitting a larger Triumph P.I. 2.5 saloon rad, stil don't know if the mountings brackets are the same,
Anyway please contribute and share some good easy affordable improvements,

Too many to think through to get down to the best one. One that was noticeable was the switch to adjustable shocks and poly bushes both done at the same time. There again Air ride made a massive difference.

Fitting a dashcam, so that when I am too old to drive (not that far off), I can replay and watch my outings in the Stag in Tenerife.
Fitting rear parking sensors has also been a big help in parking.
Others include an electric fan, an oil driven oil gauge, and electronic ignition etc. + numerous other small modifications.

Your build is impressive to say the least, although way beyond my capability.

Poly bushes - transformed the car from something a little vague in directional control to a sharp vehicle that feels totally and precisely under control.

from when I got the car a little over 2 years ago everything has been an improvement, poly bushed and full suspension overhaul, zf box, 2 inch dia 4 pipe exhaust now with coated headers, led lights throughout, 4 pots and vented discs, bigger rad the list goes up as the bank balance goes down

I don't think its specifically a car build forum but contributors have documented their progress with photos etc, very interesting reading
                    Just google retrorides.org

Where to start or finish for that matter, I bought my Stag in January 2017 and since then have used it as a daily Driver, I've only driven around 10k or so..the car had been restored back in 1988 ther mileage read 68k Chris Ingram did 20k until 1998 then it was sold and covered about 2k over the next 10 years or so, then sold on Ebay in 2012 with around 88k showing then another guy did around 3k in it and then another covered 1k in 3 years I bought it..
                      Ally Rad
                      electric Fan
                      Alloy header tank
A lot of chrome under the bonnet
                      New front seat covers/ foam
                      oil pressure gauge
US Cruise lights although I have the fronts acting as indicator repeaters
                      Chrome Wires wheel
                      Slotted discs
                      BOSS Wind deflector
AP (Asbestos) brake pads..Best braking mod that I've done to be honest ( paid £10 for the set)
Car does not overheat but the mod that get the most attention is the Chrome wires and Vredestein tyres
Cruise light look cool and work
BOSS wind deflector is a must (or similar) if you intend to cover many miles with the roof off

Has anyone had bonnet vents fitted, are there any problems ,ie water ingress or wind noise, someone told me they do create a lot of win noise.
I ask because im considering this mod

Stagdads belt driven water pump mod is by far the best thing I’ve done. Mounted low down, moves the alternator up out the way of road muck.

Polybushed, support for diff nose, 4 core radiator, Revotec electric fan. Plucking up courage to buy 3.45:1 diff (cheaper than 4 speed ZF box), refurbed Strombergs and New steering rack though latter are not mods.
