Text Chris at Stagweber, he's very helpful. It is 3/8 UNC, but I put a longer bolt in than supplied for maximum security, can't remember the exact length. Alan.
Is it by any chance the same bolt that would be used for the Holley adaptor? If it is then its definitely 3/8 UNC the same as the one that you take out when removing the Strongbergs. The usual method is to use a stud though rather than a bolt and a nut on the top end.
does that make sense.
Bit odd CS has refused to give that info but Ive no wish to start a war on here.
Have you left it at that? We are always informed he is a very helpful chap, especially if he sold you said Weber. Face Book group love him so bit strange to hear this.
I only do what the voices in my wifes head tell me to do!
crikey! what did he say? didn't know or didn't want to say?
if it is 3/8 then the threadsize should be 16tpi. quite a common size.
I can post you a 3/8unc bolt if you want one. I am heading to the workshop tomorrow morning so could have it with you for Thursday. Alternatively ebay is quite good ..

Hi the thread size is 3/8 unc, can you post a picture of the webber plate, what thickness is it,when you measure an standard inlet manifold ,from the manifold to bottoming out is 3/4 inch, not sure how its fixed but i would have thought your need a counter sunk bolt,so the webber then sits on top of the adapter plate
been PM'ing Sukh, it is not one of the securing bolts but an unthreaded hole in the adapter plate under the carb. It has been open to the atmosphere hence his poor running issues.
The situation has been temporarily resolved but Sukh is keen on a more permanent solution hence this thread.
Any of you other stagweber users know of the hole or the blanking plug that Sukh is having issues with? and if so what size is the hole and what did you use to plug it up?
Cheers
Richard
