Grill Trim

Hi,
The very small piece of grill trim that sits in between my 2 headlights is completely loose, although it won’t seem to come out. Can anyone offer advice on how to fix this?

it is held in by 2 self tapping screws into plastic inserts, assuming it hasn`t been "modified " in the past . try undoing the screws whilst applying a pull to the trim , if the screws are out is it catching on the top and bottom chrome strips? try to work one end out first by tipping it, hope that helps, Derek

My MK1 makes us of welded in nuts and not the plastic inserts

How did you drill the glass Dave?

My 1972 built "Mk2" has the UNF nuts as well. Try buying the proper screws for them!

I've just spent an hour or so on the lathe making some.
