    Carb help

    Any suggestions please, air box filling with fuel, pump pressure okay and regulator installed , set of new carbs and still filling air box, now head scratching !!

    Check float levels, and maybe there is some dirt in the valves?
    Header tanks - you can't beat a bit of bling.

      Speak to the supplier of the carbs if they are new or newly reconditioned.

      I assume they are Strombergs.
      Now Stagless but have numerous car projects
      So many cars, so little time!

        Yes they are Strombergs, I’m confused as there are two sets of carbs involved with the same result

          Certain of the fuel pump output pressure? Regulators have been known to not, um, regulate.
          Header tanks - you can't beat a bit of bling.

            what pump and regulator are you using? previous discussion on regulators found that the pressure from the pump was above the operating settings for the regulator.

            Also... small vent levers on the side of each carb, drivers side carb the vent is on the gearbox side of the carb, vice versa on the passenger side carb. as the throttle opens the pin in the vent should spring outwards. they are not unknown to jam up but usually brake / carb cleaner gets them moving again
