It was a 380 mile round trip for me but an excellent choice of venue.

Just filled the Stag with petrol tonight and found it did 29mpg on the round trip which considering its power output is pretty good going.

Not too many modern cars with that output could match that Neil - your excellent engineering has paid off for sure!

For the Stag, its age, aerodynamics etc 29mpg is excellent, however compared to modern cars, no.
My BMW M140i weighs about 200Kg more than the Stag, has a 3lt straight 6 single turbo petrol engine with 340BHP (conservative) and any sort of cruise returns 40+ mpg.
Mines a manual gearbox car and compared to the 8 speed auto, low geared. The auto gearbox models return even more on a cruise!

We were there, it was our third National event and we enjoyed the day very much. Beaulieu was a very good choice of venue as there was so much to see and do. Thanks to the organisers for all their hard work and we're looking forward to the next one already.
