Leaving aside the stupid puppet, all in all a well presented video.
I was at a local car show yesterday and having lifted the bonnet to display the engine someone trotted out the old myth about Triumph sticking two Dolomite engines together to make a V8 whereas this video tells us that the reverse is true and in fact the Dolomite engine is actually half a Stag engine.
Yes, Ye Olde Two Dolly Engines joined Together myth strikes again!
I was at the Dover Transport Museum show on Sunday, and had the bonnet open, and got given the same story...….I POLITELY ( !! ) put the gent straight on this point...….
Thought I was the only Stag there, however a private-reg. Sapphire blue car turned up later in the afternoon. Didn't meet the owner.
Would suggest going to this show next year, a good venue, the Museum was free to exhibitors, and they were cooking bacon/sausage rolls all day (£2) tea/coffee was £1 and they also have a café inside.
Huge American La France on display outside, lovely Delage and Austin 7's inside. Met a lady from Yorkshire with a "highly modified" Berkeley T60, a wee 3-wheeled rocket with huge flared front wings for the Minilites, and a "hot" 1275 A-series sticking up through the bonnet. "It does go quite well", she said......she's braver than me!!
Have a good week,
Neil.
