Hi All

i have a general question on the old style cylinder header tank. And new for that matter.

Why does no no one fit the 10mm pipe (ie off the top of the rad or in the Tee in the 32mm pipe) to the existing expansion bottle pipe on the top of the radiator it’s 8mm id.

Do a search, loads of info such as the pipe on top of the rad goes in by about an inch and will trap air etc., etc..

Thanks. That’s all I needed to know. Just an observation as it looked obvious but in fact not.

I use mine as a high level expansion tank with low level coolant warning.
