I am keeping fingers crossed that the generous spraying of WD40 will allow us to get to the Swiss Alpine passes and back ok. The forecast is thunder, lightning and heavy rain in Franche Comté through to the Julian Swiss border. I should have been brave and attempted to move the adjustment screw or whatever. But I fear I will just mess it more. Anyone near Wareham know what they’re doing and offering to help before Monday evening?
The cooling has been treated to a reverse flush, and the oil transfer housing subjected to a thorough clean and new gaskets. The canvass hood has also been treated with Fabsil today.

Many other Brit cars are in the same boat, and I found an idea on the RR forum. I made my plate out of 2 mm aluminum, as easy to cut, file, and adjust., I tried gluing the 520160A switch to the aluminum, it held but not to my satisfaction, so decided to screw them together. My first attempt did not work as the screw head was too thick, I discovered a very thin headed screw called here in NA Chicago Screw, very wide but thin headed thread is 8/32 fine. Taking out the clip on the new switch, I noticed that it was slotted in and was 10 mm wide; I found a brass picture hook the same width and cut it to 2.5 cm length, slid it into the grooves where the clip was.positioned, originally.
Drill and tap the brass to accept the Chicago screw 8/32. Fiddly, but it works.
Chicago nuts also have other names too

I have spent too long on 16w wiper issues now.

My sympathy for anyone else has too.

Kudos for anyone who has fixed a stag wiper system!

Sorry getting new parts remade / available takes so long…. But it does!

I had a Stag wiper experience while travelling in torrential rain on the Autoroute in France - the pantograph swivel on the driver's side came apart and the wiper blade flew off. The other road users were travelling far too fast for me to stop safely.

RainX is brilliant stuff to use on your windscreen if travelling when rain is likely. Anything above 30mph and the rain water just beads off without using the wipers.

That's what saved me in the French downpour!

RainX already applied, and small bottle of the stuff so I can reapply if needed. Hope both blades stay on the car given Mole42’s experience.
Will endeavour to post photographs of this adventure.

I had my Stag paintwork and windscreen treated with Graphene, result is rain will not stick to the hood/bonnet or windscreen, found this works when my wiper motor parking switch quit during a major rainstorm, whilst on a 4-day Triumph Club drive; able to drive at normal road speed and see clearly out ahead. The other great thing with Graphene Coating, is that the paintwork maintains a constant shine, so no need for waxing agai.
