No part stamped on heads. Are these early heads?

I bought a pair of heads here in USA off ebay. The heads have not part no. stamped on them. They don't even have the LH or RH stamp on them. The look like they were polished as they appear super shinny compared to the ones on my '71. Did Stags come with unmarked heads?

Since the numbers are cast in and are raised rather than stamped in I would suspect they have been removed if the heads have been polished.

Neil yes not stamped by cast. I'll attach a few photos. Without the part no. is there a way I can tell approx period of the heads. We did get Mk2 cars here for a year.

if all else fails you can cc them.. mk 2 heads have more volume.. I have cc'd my mk1 heads and got around 34.5cc. Of course assuming that skimming has not changed them significantly.

In any case with Federal non domed pistons either will work and you would be wise to cc them anyway.
