    Fitting a USB socket.

Thinking of fitting a USB socket to the Stag and was wondering if anyone has managed to to replace the cigarette lighter with one?
Any suggestions as to the best place if the lighter cannot be used.
Photos of your socket/location would be helpful.
    TIA.
    Andy.

If it's just for power why not just use an adapter that fits in the cig lighter socket ?

I have just got one it a flat 2 socket one about 2" wide and 1" across, plan is to fit it in the ashtray so only visible with the ashtray open, was only a couple of quid on a well known auction site, no picture as not home at present

I fitted a double USB socket in the Cigar lighter space quite some time ago. One USB cable powers the dashcam, and the other a spare mobile phone attached to the windscreen that I use purely as a SatNav device (using a Tom Tom Go App on it). Can't post a picure at present as using a spare PC whilst my normal one with all the pictures on it is away being repaired.

I have fitted 2 x12v outlets in rhe glove box which most of the time have a double usb adaptor in each one. One of them is switched live one is always live so covered all bases, was mainly done for phone charging whilst on trips to Spa and Le mans camping.
