Steering column after market clamp with allen key

Hi all , when installing this item does one remove the standard self gripping item or do I leave that in situ and place the clamp on top of it ? any other tips welcome . Regards Graham

Did it not come with instructions? Remove the “star” washer but be careful not to bend the spring washers (2 on my car) behind it. How are you going to preload the column? Top tip here https://www.socforum.com/forum/forum...-shaft-rebuild
