Just trying to sort what other jobs I need to add to the list on the Stag I've just bought and suddenly noticed ( I know sometimes the obvious isn't that obvious!) that the wiring etc. between the centre console and the bulkhead is exposed. Should there be a piece of trim or carpet to hide the stuff? Picture enclosed.

You see, back in the 1970's they were cutting edge by exposing this. Similarly there was a time when a computer case was solid, now the kids want them with clear windows and LEDs inside with disco lights inside the computer.
That's my suggestion, throw some neons down under the sills and live the dream!

Think we've all been trying to indicate that what you have is pretty normal and was fairly standard for cars of this era. You could try running some carpet or fixing some black fibreboard to cover if you wish. For me, it's part of the nostalgia.

Thanks guys for all the useful suggestions! It's odd to think that the Stag supposedly a luxury car didn’t have this covered. My TR6 has vinyl covered cards down both sides of the transmission tunnel and yet the design of that is back to the early 60's with the TR4! So it’s out with the hardboard and leatherette fabric then. Always something to do. Beginning to think that must have been a Stag marketing slogan.Last edited by ASL1956; 9 September 2019, 10:57.
