Lucas Square Eight Foglamps - LED?

    Hello Each,
Some years ago I fitted Lucas Square Eight fog lamps to the front of my Stag (I had the stainless backed ones on my Rover Three Thousand Five and the black plastic-backed ones on my Rover 3500 P6(B)) and I see them on lots of posh cars including those owned by Prince Charles - BUT my question is this - Is there a LED bulb with an H3 fitment that is as bright as a good quality H3 halogen bulb as the Ring Xenon Ultima that I have fitted at present? If not, and with winter coming on, I'll stick with the old fashioned bulbs!
    Regards, John.

only if you pay good money for them, most of the cheap ebay replacements are no brighter or worse than the halogen. speak to one of te better quality suppliers people use for dash/general bulb swaps such as better car lighting, to name the one I use. but sit down when you ask the price as good are not cheap

Phil, sounds as though I'll be sticking with good quality halogens then! Thanks for replying. Regards, John.

No experience with these bulbs, but have been very happy with other products from this seller.

Thanks for the link. Will look at their site although Lucas Square Eights have a black shield in front of the bulb so you only see the reflection not the bulb so I think that I'll be sticking with a good quality halogen bulb. Thanks again both. Regards, John.
p.s. What other products did you buy?

Try Osram's Night Breaker Laser bulbs. 150% more light but same wattage. £25 for a pair. Got them in my Lucas 8's.

I use Osram Night Breaker H4 in the outer headlights - stunning performance, not too expensive and legal.

The 100W H1 I have used in the inner headlamps have stunning performance, they are cheap and absolutely not legal. Which is why I only fit them for forest stages along with the 100W Cibié Super Oscars!

On my desk are a pair of Chinese LED H4 bulbs which claim to have a lot more light output than the Osrams while using a lot less power. They will get tried out soon.
